Is it better to grow hair longer or keep it short? (Thinning Hair)

Not sure if it’s the APs but my hair has thinned quite a bit, and I am self-conscious about it

Basically, does it look better if I leave it to grow long, or keep it relatively short?

For much of my life I have got a hair cut roughly every 6 months

But when I look in the mirror, it only takes a slight disturbance for the roots to be visible

Is this just an age thing?

idk

I’d say short.

My hair is thinning as well. I find that when I shave it short it is less noticeable that there is a thinning problem. I am too lazy to do this all the time though it appears.

I don’t worry about it too much anymore, though.

It’s mostly a matter of personal preference really.

I think some older men look kinda cool when they’re bald and let their hair grow out.

I’m balding myself and I keep my hair fairly short. That’s mostly because I hate messing with my hair. Atm I have a standard buzzcut, but I think I’m going to get a #6 haircut next round. A number 6 is only 3/4th’s of an inch.

if your hair is thinning, a short buzz cut would look better probably. I wear mine in a buzz cutt until it grows out in a year…so half the year I have short hair , and the other half it’s rather long.

I buzz cut my hair once a month. I have a receding hairline. I like long hair too though so it’s all personal preference.

If your lawn is getting a bit thin, do you grow the grass next to the thin patch extra long and then rake it over the balding spot, or does that look silly?

There’s your answer.

Shorter. Itll show much less.
Loads of men loss their hair in their 30s. A lot of my friends are dealing with it atm and so am I.

I get my hair cut every 5 weeks. With shorter hair you need to cut it more often.

There’s a guy at work who does this and I think not for me

The hair seems to be evenly thinning with a bit more on the back

Hmm. I will go to the barbers today and get them to sort it out

What about slicking it all back and going for the Jack Nicholson doo?

Nah, 'cuz then I’d have to chum around with Roman Polanski.

Gross.

I think guys look better in a short haircut. There’s a guy at my clinic that looked like he hasn’t had a haircut in a couple of years. He came in one morning with it neatly cut short and looked good.

My hair is thinning. Im on finastride now. Its not reallt long but its not short either. Im going to keep it long unless it gets too thin and looks weird, but so far its not super obvious.

My hair has been gradually thinning for decades. Something I’ve noticed in the last few years - my underarm hair is much less than it used to be.

Some people can pull off the “Danny Devitto” and I’m not one of them. I don’t have long hair in the right spots.

I’m gonna be thinning in the corners of my forehead and its kind of hard to feel good about it. Its just one of those things I accept as a flaw.

Short. Definitely short. And clean. Keep it short and clean. That is the answer to any hair problem.
