Do you think it would be safe for me to walk to Rally’s Hamburgers and eat on the tables outside? I’m at high risk because I have diabetes and emphysema.
I personally think it would be safer to get the food as take out and eat at home.
Your highest risk comes from being in line and ordering, it’s the being around other people part. Also matters if people outside keep their distance from you or not. The wife and I were thinking of getting burgers for lunch and eating them in the park, but decided against any unnecessary exposure. I’ve got some patties in the air fryer right now and we’re going to picnic on our front lawn in 15 min. We also saved about $20!
Currently in Little Rock Arkansas USa only Wendy’s and Rally’s are allowing dine in. McDonald’s and Burger King aren’t. I no longer have a car so I can’t go through the drive through.
Is there an option to order ahead and then pickup so you minimize the time spent at the restaurant?
Good point. I’ll have to look into it.
I love these peppers, we eat them with any food.
Well, I see and hear some states are so anxious to get back to normal that they’re rushing into opening businesses again when it might not really be safe… This could cause a big spike in the number of people catching the virus. I have no idea how risky it would be in your area or how safe this specific restaurant is. I guess, maybe, it might be safe and you could risk it and go but the price for being wrong is a little steep.
We are opening up here and seeing rapid increase in cases. Many places will work with you though. You could call and tell then you’re high risk but love their food and I bet someone would walk it out to you. People have been pretty considerate with virus concerns.
I would never risk it.
They can open here, but they are saying they losing money everyday, not enough business, people are either out of cash or playing it safe. I know I can’t afford to dine out atm
I went for lunch outdoors at a restaurant. I didnt think the risk was higher than going to the supermarket. But i wouldnt do it if i were in a high risk category like you. Not worth it.
We’re struggling with cash being tight at the moment and the fact that I just can’t catch this beastie of a virus until they have better treatments. Also, fast food has gotten so expensive! Burger and chips cost so much more than they used to. The last time we ate in a restaurant was The Mikado in Edmonton West in early February. We’ve had takeout once since, about a month ago (pizza). We wanted Chinese Food last month, but I ended up making it instead. The good news is that we’ve really saved here.
The only take out food I’ve gotten in 3 months was a veggie pizza from one of those places where they make the pizza for you and you bake it yourself at home. I figured that was safe because baking it would kill any germs. The only problem was that it did not really taste very good. It was too salty and did not have enough veggies on it.
Damn it. Do I need to do an intervention here?
Need meats. All the meats! Pepperoni, sausage, bacon, alllll the meeeeeeats!
You can’t beatz my meatz.
(That’s my job.)
Oh, wait. Wrong thread.
Oooooops.
I actually like pepperoni on pizza although I’m not really sure what it’s actually made of. It is one of those mystery meats, kinda like Spam, baloney, and hotdogs.
