I’ve had diarrhea since Thursday morning, and don’t have a clue what’s causing it. I used Pepto-Bismol all day Thursday, and it didn’t help. Friday, the nurse at my psychiatric clinic gave me some Imodium and it helped, but I have diarrhea again this morning.
I saw you had another thread about quitting pain killers recently?
Were they narcotic?
Because even slight withdrawal from those things will give you some poop problems.
Regardless, I’d drink lots of water and give my doctor a call.
No not narcotic. Just Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and prescription Meloxicam. I guess I am going to have to go to the doctor if it doesn’t clear up soon.
You may need to replenish your system with essential electrolytes.
Buy some Pedialyte.
Thanks @Wave 15
You can purchase Pedialyte at most grocery stores and pharmacies.
It’s similar to Gatorade but without all that sugar.

Yes diarrhea will drain your body from vitamins I read.
Thanks. I just added some to my grocery order being delivered at 1pm today.

Stopping Meloxicam cold turkey can also lead to stomach or bowel problems such as diarrhea, ulcers, and bleeding, as well as liver or kidney damage.
It’s very likely that.
Could also be dysentery, if there’s blood in your stool and if you have fever.
I, don’t think he’s on the Oregon Trail.
Thanks @anon4362788 @Andrey. I’ll check with my doctor. I live in the downtown of a city.
I feel fine today with very little pain. It’s just the diarrhea.
I hope you feel better soon
Thanks @LilyoftheValley 15
Diarrhoea kills in some countries if left untreated
You could try psyllium, it’s got a lot of benefits, lowering cholesterol etc, and it’s very effective both to stop diarrhea as well as constipation.
I have used it for several years.
Psyllium /ˈsɪliəm/, or ispaghula /ˌɪspəˈɡuːlə/, is the common name used for several members of the plant genus Plantago whose seeds are used commercially for the production of mucilage. Psyllium is mainly used as a dietary fiber to relieve symptoms of both constipation and mild diarrhea,
Obviously, that’s bad. Talk to a doctor.
Thanks @Joker @bluebutterfly @vangoghs. I just spoke to a friend who says there is a stomach bug going around that does this. I’m thinking now that’s what I got.
