I was on meds for a few years in early 2000s. Then my dr thought I co up of go off them. At the end of 2013 I ended up back on them at much higher doses. I should never have gone off them.
Oh gosh im not sure i should try then tbh. Because that is what im afraid of. Im doing well now.
I dont know if coming off is a good idea then tbh
If you main worry is brain damage, it would make more sense to seek out cognitive rehabilitation therapy first. Not everyone can access it, because of insurance, but you might be able to. I was able to join a research study that did cognitive rehab. It was awesome, because it helped a lot, plus I got paid.
Im not sure because i dont live in the us. So i dont know if they do much research here were im at

This is a similar study to the one I did. I am not sure if they are still looking for participants, but you can email and find out. It is fully remote. The requirements are fluency in English and access to the internet.
They initially thought I had bipolar even though Iāve never been manic because I experienced depression and anxiety at the same time.
But after thy stopped my meds I became extra strange. Iām told Iām delusional and hallucinating even with my meds.
Chemical brain damage or imbalance doesnāt show up in mri. Like low dopamine causing negative symptoms. There is no treatment for negative symptoms. Taking dopaminergic drugs reverses my negative symptoms also going off meds so I know for sure I donāt have physical brain damage. I asked my pdoc for an mri and he said I donāt have brain damage.
MRIs donāt show dopamine, serotonin, etc and other neurotransmitter levels. I read most schizophrenics show normal mri scans
Thatās what one of those people from the Mental health care told me too.
But where is the prove? tbh the same goes for that voices are caused by dopamine overload.
Just saying
I dont believe it what I do know is and they did studies on this that already after 8 weeks anti psycotics, like olanzapine reduced gray matter in mice.
exactly exactly
What is cognitive rehub can u explain me??
You do targeted rehabilitation that aims to regain lost function from a brain injury. Strokes in my case. Doing repeated therapy affecting impaired or lost function can trigger your brainās neuroplasticity and help it repair damage. This is bourne out by research.
In what way? where i can cognitive rehub?
You have to talk to a doctor about it. In the meantime, keep your brain busy. Do puzzles. Read. Learn to play an instrument or start learning a new language. Lots of benefits from exercising your noodle.
