Is a headache normal when dieting?

Had a headache for 2 weeks. This coincides with my diet

Have you reduced sugar ? Tea? Coffee maybe ?

Yeah I cut back on sugar

Mate you should talk to your GP if you have had a headache for that long

Could be withdrawals symptoms from sugar. I mean I’m not an expert but I’m saying it
COULD be. Please consult your gp.

you could even just phone the nhs non-emergency number and talk to someone there about it, the number is 111 its really good and i’ve used it before, i think it’s 24hr service

Yeah I had a head cold. Mum thinks it’s sinusitis

It could be a sinus infection, do you have any tenderness when you press around on your sinuses or any pain in your teeth?

Anyway yes getting rid of sugar out of your diet can give you a headache but it usually only lasts a few days, 2 weeks sounds like something more, definitely talk to your doctor, we want you healthy cus we wuvs you.

Just had some acetaminophen and a bowl of oatmeal and the headache is receding

When I’m dehydrated I’ll get headaches.
This is quite common.

Make sure your drinking enough water especially when you are dieting.

That’s very true for me . I have great difficulty accurately assessing how much I need to drink . It’s due to poor interoception . Something that occurs more frequently with those on the autism spectrum .
