Anyone helped with depression on this medication? I’ve read it causes lack of enjoyment in anything. I have severe depression with suicidal ideation as it is. I just recieved the 117mg shot today. I’m bipolar si they dont want to prescribed antidepressants
It causes negative symptoms of sz but not depression. For depression you need antidepressants.
It can be either from negatives of sz or from depression. Your psychiatrist should know which one you have. But no there is no ap that causes depression.
I don’t get lack of enjoyment or depression from invega but my activities did change
I’m on Invega 156 mg shot, it does help with mood. I guess it works good for depression. Does something positive to seratonin.
Invega has antidepressant properties.
More so than Risperdal.
But it’s by no means an antidepressant.
I was on the highest dose of the Invega injection, and I had no negatives on it. In fact, I felt more alert and energetic. But it didn’t take away my paranoia.
i experienced a bit of depression on invega, i think it was because i moved to a different location and had nothing to do or no friends to ever hang out with. but that has lifted now, and im feeling good again most days. the first year and a half of invega were kinda miserable for me, but then most of my side effects went away, i don’t know if it was all in my head or not the whole time. but i love invega. im on trinza now, i get the max dose every 12 weeks. it really mellows out my moods, i haven’t been angry forever, and i can enjoy hobbies again. ive been on trinza for about a year and find it superior to sustenna. just something to keep in mind if you tolerate invega. i resisted the doctors at first about switching to trinza because i didn’t want such a large dose at one time, but it’s been better for me for some reason. best wishes.
