Insomnia suffer

@MIDO

If you take a warm shower one to two hours before bedtime it will help you sleep because it will reduce your core body temperature.

I’ve had untreatable insomnia from certain APs, but not all.

I’m currently on olanzapine and risperidone and I sleep great now

I am new here again, so I am sorry for appearing from nowhere… I have been in social isolation for years so it is hard for me to speak out…. but I just wanted to answer this since I know this answer from experience… I have had insomnia my whole life… I have been up a full week now and when I get sleep again I will get no more than 2 hours in a 24 hr time. It’s always been that way tho days awake vary from one or two days to 11 to 13 being the record for me. But 2 hours is all I ever get to reset the insomnia again. I am not on any antipsychotics… I don’t do any drugs, don’t smoke or drink or anything. I am a schizophrenic that hallucinates in all 5 senses and never found anything to help with anything. Insomnia is a product of schizophrenia, tho the drugs can exacerbate insomnia at times, and it can be caused by other things, but I’ve been a schizophrenic my entire life and they said insomnia and chronic headaches are both because of schizophrenia.

I think I know that state of the mind a little bit

When I walked about 5 days thru nature

Only short and not deep sleep

Driven by psychosis

Ended in my bed with endless sleep

Welcome.

Have you explored drugs and natural remedies for insomnia?

I take magnesium and melatonin which seems to help. Also the drug gabapentin.

I don’t know something about insomnia.

Normally.

Thank you very much, and yes I have tried so many things for a few years, but I haven’t tried anything in a while.

They are the neurologist, psychologist and psychiatrist I had. That is what they told me. And research I have done tends to back them up.
And I’m 40 now, and only got disgnosed as an adult when I was like 30. They said I had it since childhood though since I was hallucinating and showed other symptoms even at 4 and 5.

I understand.

That’s impressive.

I’d had a good run re initial insomnia, but it’s reared its ugly head again. It’s difficult getting off to sleep with the buzz buzz buzz I keep hearing. Things are made worse because I keep dropping off to sleep during the day.
