I can’t sleep tonight, someone sing me a lullaby!
What tricks do you all use to fall asleep? (melanin doesn’t work for me!)

I take a piriton! It’s used for allergic reactions but makes you super drowsy and never fails to knock me out for a solid 10 hours or so
Nice! Thx for the advice! Any negative side effects that other anti-histamines have? I could take benadryl but it gives me restless legs syndrome and makes me feel horrible.
I’ve never really had any side effects from it apart from being drowsy the next day as well but it’s worth it for a good nights sleep. I think as long as you find the right one and don’t take it too often you should be fine!
I take Phenibut every other day. To avoid addiction i don’t take it more than 3 times a week. It really helps for insomnia.
I just recently had a problem where I was up for 5 days straight. I went to a hopitalized care place and they put me on 150mg of trazodone. It normally is supposed to make you feel drowsy but it doesn’t for me during this time of whatever is going on with my body. However I seem to be able to sleep. So maybe it could work for you.
trazodone never worked for me. That is the only part of meds I miss so far - off meds I don’t sleep but 3-4hrs a day.
The sad thing is that I think I’m sleeping 4-5 hours a night with the trazodone.
I wasn’t sleeping from the trazodone - I was on high doses of risperidone and sertraline that caused me to sleep.
I kinda wondering if the riperidone is causing a little bit of the insomnia for me. It is listed as one of the common side-effects. Strange thing is the I thought it helped put me to sleep when I first started taking it.
Try counting backwards from 100
What I’ve found is that after becoming extremely exhausted and being awake for an uncomfortably long time to the point where I don’t have enough energy to sit up then I can fall asleep.
