The majority are internal voices. Mostly female.

External voices are few and far between and usually only call me by name.

I have intense inner thoughts much of the time.

They’re only external when I am under extreme stress, then it gets ugly

I’ve been hearing impaired since birth. It gets worse and worse the older I get. I’m 62. I now wear bilateral hearing aids throughout the day.

I only occasionally hear external, functional voices. Ie., I hear them within other noises like a/c, furnace, or dishwasher’s running. The voices don’t bother me at all. They just sound like mumbling.

I had an external hallucination today. Thought my mum called out my name real loudly. But my mum doesnt live with me and wasnt around at all today. But generally i only have external voices when i am super unwell. I more often get the internal ones where i feel like a thought or voice didnt come from me but something else. Like a suggestion from god. Sometimes when i think i am hearing the thoughts of peope ive met or know from a long distance.

Internal are worse than external for me, especially robot voices.

I hear A LOT of internal voices. Most of my voices are internal but they sound so real.

External mostly for me when I was hearing voices. But sometimes I would get an internal voice speaking my thoughts out loud from within my head. Very bizarre.

At one point I had voice seem to speak from my chest—very strange.

yes i have this. ever since several months into my hospitalization. only thing like that i have to go back 20 years when i heard my stomach say things. wasnt concerned with it and joked about it with my girlfriend.

very disurbing though it is now. i prefer external to that.

Had a few who would talk from my belly, and a few on my legs. Glad they are gone now.

I used to have outside voices, usually crowd noise like a bunch of people all talking at once. Sometimes I would get one voice speaking right into my ear - that was scary as hell. Haven’t had either one for about a month - don’t know why coz nothing’s changed, meds same, situations same. Very odd.
