I am diagnosed schizoaffective, bipolar type. I don’t hear voices very often, either. I have prominent mood symptoms, as well as paranoia and thought symptoms.

I don’t think you have deficit sz like me… because you have depression and anxiety. I NEVER HAVE DEPRESSION OR ANXIETY. You should forget the diagnosis and just focus on your current symptoms. If you’ve never had paranoia, delusions or voices, why are you taking antipsychotics ??

Do you ever get voices or any hallucinations? Like even intermittently?
Or is it just the deficit? What are the main negative symptoms you have?
Sorry for the barrage of questions.
I’m meeting with a pdoc in April to re-diagnose me, I sometimes hear voices now and no hallucinations or delusions.
But I still have negative symptoms without depression. Although the fact I have negative symptoms can be frustrating or depressing

You can tick every box in the ’ wrong’ column on me.
No hope, no cure,no future for me, but screw that, I’m still going to have fun.

Hi @anon31257746

No, I never hear voices or hallucinate. After the initial psychotic break, which lasted about 6-7 weeks, I was put on medication and the positive symptoms completely subsided. As regards negative symptoms, I have all of them: anhedonia, avolition, flat affect, poverty of thought etc… I can keep good eye contact though. Never depressed nor anxious.
If you have other questions, keep shooting them  No problemo.

What was ur psychotic break like…@Andrey .man…

I don’t want to remember it… I lost contact with reality, I was really paranoid about everyone around me and came up with some unbelievable, Sci-Fi delusions.
