In love with the nineties grunge singers

I am currently listening to Chris Cornells solo album “euphoria mourning” I play this album a lot when I want to think of my brother…I also listen to Layne Staley’s work (alice in chains singer), then also giving time to Kurt Cobain and Nirvana…little do I listen to Pearl Jam but still do some.

I don´t like Chris Cornell. I like the list but instead of him I would put Scott Weilland from STP 1st!

I was a teenager when Pearl Jam and Nirvana came out. I still like them.

It’s hard to compare the two, they’re both brilliant singers. Love them both

I used to never think I would say this - as I was a depressed teenager in the 90s - but I miss the 90s too. I’d love to go relive that time and do it all over again. This time I would pick a better college major! I graduated high school in 1995 and college in 1999.

Layne Staley + Jerry Cantrell is such a banging combo— they really made great tunes together.

And Chris Cornell is a legend. Not gonna lie, much prefer him with Soundgarden as opposed to Audioslave. Audioslave is more of a polished supergroup IMO— Soundgarden is more raw. Dunno!

Love me some Pearl Jam as well.

90’s had some awesome bands for sure :+1:.

Same for me, Soundgarden is brilliantly eclectic, where as Audioslave is much more polished. Bad motor finger is one of my favorite albums to this day

Won’t lie but never really took to that whole Seattle scene. Yeah some good music but we were listening and aware of Nirvana back with Bleach so when Nevermind came out it wasn’t that revalatory as it was to the rest of the world. It was always going to happen but honestly I thought the Pixies were a much better band than Nirvana. Just shows you that you never know what will become popular and how it changes the music scene.

I agree completely. It’s not that I don’t like nirvana, but they’re my least favorite of that genre.
