I'm thinking it might be good to depend less on this site when I recover

Yes, well perhaps there would be a difference.

Hope you’re feeling a bit better today Gamera… :relaxed: :relaxed: :relaxed:

I’m on here a lot.
My new therapist thinks it’s a good idea that I’m on here a lot.

She’s all for it.

That’s great that she agrees with you being on this forum. It is pretty entertaining and all.

Yes @anon83141956 it is.
Keeps me social.

Without it I’d be a recluse.

Maybe just try to limit it? There’s nothing wrong with spending time on a forum. Just make sure real life socializing and responsibilities come first.
You could try to set certain timeframes where you’re not allowed to use the forum?

That’s a really good point about how to deal with the balance issue, thanks Miika.
The other concern of mine is a growing social anxiety feeling. I must do therapy to see how that helps me…

This site helps me in a number of ways. It helps just to talk with fellow sz’s on this site. There aren’t any real threats here. The worst thing is that you could get offended by someone, and you can always alert a moderator if you think someone is abusive. For me it is a good way to meet and mingle.

I think the same as you sometimes but reality is that the problem is me and sz negative + cognitive symptoms, there are many successful ppl on the forum some are even good Drs so the issue is not the forum. Its just the lazy mind thinking this to try to escape reality.

Yes I don’t think the forum is the issue either. I just need to find balance in more than one respect.

Yeah… I can relate to being attached. I think the idea of feeling connected somewhere, even if it being a distant country is healthy on some level. In a way people tend to share deeper things here, so I think it’s a plus
