I'm proud of my architectural lettering

They beat it into you to perfect your lettering in college and in the field. I have learned from the best and I love to write hand lettering on mail and signing books and prints…if you have never seen architectural lettering it is done all in caps.

Old school designers/drafters usually have very precise handwriting as well.

Good handwriting is becoming a lost.art in the digital world.

it’s true…most of the designers at my firm where I worked just had architectural lettering built into their computer network…replaced by a machine.

I had very neat printing. Miss it.

My handwriting got destroyed from college (highschool in the USA) and university. All the note taking made me into a scribbler.

my dad had such poor cursive writing that he sometimes couldn’t read it himself when taking notes in med school…scribble with dots…

Mine was doing well until the Parkinson’s crept in. Small, involuntary muscle movements are hell on neat printing and writing. Also not great for hand-held, low-light photography. At least I can adapt for the latter.
