My symptoms and the potential causes seem to fit.
Going to doc on Oct 1st.
Not sure that they will be able to do much about it so it may be a waste of money going.
Its annoying though.

They might inject a corticosteroid to reduce inflammation.
Best thing is theraband exercises and weightlifting.

I feel your pain (literally). I have tendonitis in my right achilles tendon in the right heel area. I was just at the podiatrist for it yesterday
