Surgery is scheduled

I have surgery scheduled for the 30th to correct my achilles tendonitis and bone spur on my right ankle… I’m so tired of pain

What do they do for that surgery? I ahve always just assumed I would have to live with the pain forever. Maybe I should see a doctor about it, if it can be fixed.

@Ninjastar what part the achilles tendonitis or the bone spur??

tendonitis. Mine comes and goes, but it super duper sucks

@Ninjastar from my understanding the achilles tendonitis is pretty much swollen Achilles tendon that’s swollen so big it’s gotten stuck in between the joint making it hard to impossible to move, touch, or apply weight to the ankle. For this he is going to be cutting that out and reattaching it to the tendon making it whole again

The bone spur is a calcium buildup that the body makes due to tendon, muscle, or joint being damaged and the body is trying to repair itself

On the tendonitis I tried a shot and physical therapy first and that failed so here we are, all of this has been my choice I could have chosen to have the surgery first but I wanted to try non invasive first since there is high risk for infection, tearing, stitches popping, or even the incision not healing at all

The bone spur he’s going to shave down
