I like it a lot. It works better than Risperdal. I’m taking 3 mg in the morning. My biggest side effects are insomnia and weight gain. I take Trazodone to combat the insomnia. There are definitely some pro-cognitive effects and a reduction in negative symptoms. I still hear “voices” but they’re more like intrusive thoughts without sound. It’s super expensive but my insurance covers it. Anyone else on Vraylar? It doesn’t seem popular.
Wow, being on Vraylar was not a positive experience for me.
I’m glad that Vraylar is working out for you, it definitely gave me an over abundance of Energy.
So much so that I was climbing the walls.
It felt like I was on Speed or some kind of Stimulant.
It didn’t work for me and it contributed to me being Hospitalized.
I was on the lowest dose mind you.
@astefano! It’s so good to hear from you! How are things going for you?
Explain to me how it contributed to this, did the drug make you psychotic? I’m very curious. This drug on paper looks absolutely wonderful, it protects against dopaminergic psychotic while also being a stimulant - the best of both worlds. In theory it should alleviate some negative symptoms.
As you know I’m sure, everyone reacts to these APs differently.
Vraylar helped with Negative Symptoms but I found it to be way too stimulating for me.
It also did not work so much to control my positive symptoms (Delusions)
It just might work for you.
Do you have the issue with no emotions? If so, did it help you with that?
Yes it did - I was experiencing pleasure.
It definitely helped me with all aspects of Negative Symptoms.
If I can’t get my insurance worked out with the rexulti then maybe I’ll try this.
Wow… I would kill for a full range of emotions. Sadly this drug is not marketed to Europe or at least not my country. I hope it does get here in the future though.
