I'm living in a kingdom and find it foolish and therefore estranged

We have had a queen and today her son is crowned King of Denmark. The whole country is for days in a row obsessed with this stupid ritual and I can’t relate. The royalty have never said or done anything interesting and we pay them billions just so they can live in their castles and be a symbol for the rest of us. I’m a republican by heart.

Because I can’t relate to 85% of the population who finds it very interesting and good, I feel very estranged from the normies.

I wish we had a president instead of a king.

I agree. Monarchists are classist and authoritarians among other things

I agree i live in a monarchy the uk but would like to see it become a republic. Many people here like the royals which seems like nonsense to me.

I was against the monarchy and am not interested in our royals. But if I see what my fellow citizens voted, I really do not want a president either. And prefer the king stays where he is.

I so relate - I’m in Australia and the tabloid news is filled with the queen in Denmark since she was from australia. Also want no royals. (Sometimes I secretly wish we had a revolution like in Russia how they completely got rid of the royals system altogether)

I don’t really like the Belgian royals. They act like they are superior and probably feel that way.

The press always praises them here.
