I don’t want to get this thread closed, but I broke ranks with my political party and voted for the opposing candidate in one race. The one with my political party is really bad. I’m moderate in my political beliefs.
My sister really trashed the state I live in. I didn’t say a word about hers. I’m just tired of it. My state isn’t so bad. An example of this is the Governor signed an Executive Order allowing Covid19 to be used as an excuse to vote absentee. They require an ID to vote. ID’s (not a driver’s license) cost $5.00. I think it’s reasonable to require an ID as poll workers don’t know if you are who you claim to be. Also they require you to pay postage to return your absentee ballot. It’s three stamps or $1.65.
Some people are too sensitive about politics, that is why I try not to talk about it with other people unless they explicitly ask me.
hi, Mike
I think that you should not make any decision when you are angry, or you will regret after you cool down.
remember, nobody is perfect(incloding me).
I have updated most emergency contacts to my psychiatric care provider. They still have my sister as my emergency contact. I emailed my Pastor with my problem and information, and asked if he would serve as emergency contact for my psychiatric care provider and payable-on-death person. I told him my sister has heart problems and couldn’t serve. That’s mostly true too, other than the political issues. I’m going to wait and see what he says. He’s like in his 40’s, so he should outlive me.
My sister has my email address so communication isn’t completely cut off. I don’t have a clue how to block on gmail. She could write me an old fashioned letter via post office too. I think it would be nice for the time being to get it in writing.
