@jukebox, You probably have to lose overall weight to get rid of that belly. And do a lot of cardio. My son had a very large, protruding belly at a very young age (around early 20’s, from psychotropic meds) and he got rid of it from taking a lot of martial arts classes. He probably could have achieved the same thing from running or jogging.

yeah, thanks. I should be below 200 soon and then my goal is 185. ideally 155. so that’s still almost fifty pounds to lose still…and the hardest to take off !!

I’m not saying what my BMI is.

I don’t know what my BMI is but I am most certainly obese.

My strategy to keep my weight down is to track all of my calories every day on a calorie counting app. I’ve been doing this for over three years. I also never drink my calories. I almost never drink alcohol either. And I don’t smoke so that’s not my strategy. I drink lots and lots of black, unflavored, decaffeinated coffee. And lots of water. I allow myself limited sweets and I count that into my calorie intake. I weigh myself regularly and record. And, I exercise every single day (yoga and piano practice).

Yes. You reach a smaller size and you can feel your body - walking, doing things -

I wonder if you’re a size 14 or 16 and you can still be healthy… Cos according to bmi you’d probs be not a healthy weight… It just seems so harsh this bmi thing or am I being too lazy
