Illusions or what?

When you look away from hallucinations are they still there if you look back? Are these illusions or hallucinations? I get both according to nurse but I still don’t understand the difference? Yes I have googled but it doesn’t make sense. I’m just curious.
Sometimes pictures come to life, see faces in things, see something look like a man in the dark and I look away but it’s still there. I see bugs and look back or just focus on it and it’s no longer there. Does this decide?
What are your experiences like this? Do you sometimes feel an evil presence with it like me?
Yes I get delusions too someone asked last time, usually unrelated.
I have bp1 w/ psych, schizotypal, gad.
My other post re this got accidentally seen as spam and disappeared.

I usually, as far as I know, just see things in my peripheral vision, or like a light overlay over what I’m looking at, like a ghost shadow type of thing. I don’t know how to describe it. But bugs are the main thing I see and I think it’s because I’m so afraid of bugs that that’s what my mind is occupied with. And strangely enough it’s usually my right peripheral vision, almost like there’s something wrong with my eyes, but I’ve had them checked because of it, and everything was fine supposedly. So idk.

I don’t know the difference between illusions and hallucinations, the definition of illusion says something about the way you perceive things and hallucinations is seeing things that aren’t there. So I guess illusions would be if what you are looking at is distorted, like my ghost shadows and hallucinations would be my bugs. That my take on it anyway.
