If your brain can make voices

How do they make shadow people? They feel real how can my brain make people haunt me… Is it still a dopamine issue

Thanks

Good question @Turtle43 .12345.

Visual and audible hallucinations are caused by stuff misfiring in the brain.

I suffer from “sixth sense,” or extracampine hallucinations where I sense a presence but don’t actually see or hear anything.

That’s horrible

I think what is happening is that our brain is making dreams, which is its job, except those dreams have spilled over into our waking reality and they are “real” enough that we can lose insight and get lose in them. The containment system that healthy people have for dream content is broken for us and that is why we experience this while we are awake.

My own theory, anyhow.

Interesting theory. I’ve heard something similar to this before but I forget who said it, maybe Freud. They said that in neurotypicals there’s a barrier separating the conscious mind from the subconscious, and this barrier isn’t there or ‘leaks’ in people with schizophrenia.

It’s just another sense. Your brain does it when you dream, all five senses. It can do it while you’re awake too. It’s unfortunate and constantly surprising sometimes I think

That completely makes sense from what I think too

I’d only add that I think it goes much further once insomnia gets worse

Its a connection issue of neurons , they just connect, I feel .

What ever you create happens in front of you. But not in real !

So we should be careful when triggered!
