I don’t not want to take any medications for my hallucinations. Can they just go away after a period of time .?
I’ve tried going without meds a few times and only found the hallucinations getting worse. So in my opinion meds are the best option.
Chances are they won’t, unless your hallucinations are caused by drug use, maybe even drinking. It’s possible, if this is the case, if you refrain from using long enough you will be okay. But even the two people I’ve known that went through psychosis caused by methamphetamine use required medication for about two years before they could be weaned off and do okay.
But I’m not a psychiatrist and am not qualified to offer you any prognosis or diagnosis. I will repeat what I said, your best bet is to see a licensed psychiatrist and talk about what you’ve been experiencing. If that makes you uncomfortable, maybe you can talk to a family member or a teacher, anyone you trust that can help you. But I think you need help, to try to just wait it out or not address the problems might lead to very difficult circumstances.
The odds are definitely not in your favor. Meet with a doctor and get their opinion.
Hi @Diamond_lashay17. Rather than starting new threads on the same topic (“Hallucinating”), can you just continue posting on one thread? I’ll leave this thread open since its the most recent and close your other “Hallucinating” threads.
I can’t even get rid of the voices with meds (unless I’m on a stupid high dose), being unmedicated just sounds dangerous in my experience.
Do you think mariwauna makes hallucinations go away
Noooooooope. It is more likely to make them worse.
The voices always tell me that they will beat my ass when they see me. Because they read my mind, and they do not like the things that come to my mind.
Take your medication, I know they have terrible side effects but take them, it will go away
What don’t they like about what comes to your mind?
And for what it’s worth, you can think anything you want. It is your mind. My voices used to make me feel awkward too. But over time you learn techniques to just be yourself. Medication helps too.
I have intrusive thoughts and negative things come to my mind, even when I’m not thinking these things. So something negative about them comes to my mind they get mad.
Forgive yourself for the negative intrusive thoughts. I get those too. And don’t let it worry you what the voices say about them. That’s just something voices do.
I’m sure you’ll get better from here with medication. But it also helps to reassure yourself that everything will be fine. The voices will always do similar things so you can learn what to ignore.
you will have less hallucinations if you ignore them, also if you are less stressed you will have less hallucinations
I thought in my mind the F word to my hallucinations baby, she read my mind and now I’m terrified she is going to beat my ass when she see me. What should I do ?
I really have a hard time understanding the story here, but I recommed you don’t stress about having thoughts you can’t control. Remember, you have a serious illness for which there is no cure, look into getting treatment or help from someone. These types of uncomfortable feelings and thoughts can become dangerous or even intensify.
Wishing you the best!
Hallucination babies already know all the swear words. If your hallucination tells you she’s mad, she’s just messing with you.
It sound so real tho
They can tell if you believe it. Sometimes they think scaring you is a kindness. Tell them nicely that you don’t need to be scared right now, and mean it with kindness.
I think it’s dangerous to attach any meaning to your hallucinations at all. I would advise you to try not to act on the things they say to you. No one can read your mind, but this is a common delusion for those who hear voices. But I also realize how real they sound and how hard they are to try and ignore. I think your best bet is to see psychiatrist and if he or she prescribe you medication, do your best to take them as directed.
