"If you don't do as you're told, I won't change your diapers."

On a better way (than threat) to deal with a two year old.

If you don’t stop sucking your thumb, we’ll put vile tasting liquid on it when we think you are asleep.

I was thinking only when a two year old’s behavior was dangerous to herself or could break something. I think thumb sucking is harmless and is supposedly a great psychological relief.

The terrible twos.

Not if you sleep in the same room as your father who has to listen. But that’s another story.

Observe to see/hear/perceive to recognize to acknowledge What The Child Needs. They’re humans beings, but they don’t always know how to explain themselves. We have to watch to find out.

I didn’t know thumb sucking is noisy.

According to my mother’s story mine was.

Too bad baby can’t say “Father, you are getting in the way.”
