If you could take a tablet that would make you live forever but you would still have sz would you take it?

Is a big fat no from me.

Just to specify, you would live forever but it means you can never get cured. Regardless of future scientific breakthroughs

A huge fat yes from me still.

My opinion changes.
Sometimes I want to live and sometimes I don’t.
By my nature I am a person who loves life, but my condition is difficult,
so I often have thoughts that I’d want my life to end.
I will try to keep existing and hopefully after several decades it’ll somehow become easier.

nah I wouldn’t want to live forever…even if your atheist. think about it, supposably older people complain about the younger people…now think about just 100 years extra. What will you complain about next? If you adapt to the change, are YOU really growing or are people changing you? a lot of parents have trouble understanding the mindsets of their kids and their kids hardly tell their parents anything (personal relative). If this were to somehow work I think 75% of the population would need this pill to somehow balance things. Of course there is always just knowing too much to the point where you will want death and it wont come…

If I can stay where I am now and could choose when I die, sure. If I had to go back to life without meds, hell no.

A lot of philosophers have raised this question, especially that of evil genies lol.

So you end up being immortal but you decay physically or you suffer eternally? What about all your loved ones passing? I would say no, unless we can rejuvenate or reverse aging in the body. And it should be reversible.

This would be helpful if we could take the cure for schizophrenia too if it ever comes up in our quest for immortality.

Heck yeah I would never run out of time to do stuff I would be able to learn everything and try everything without fear omg heck yeah. And I wouldn’t have to worry about the things i see and hear killing me cause, lmao I’m immortal try me. And I could finally take a nap with out worrying about wasting my life. So in conclusion yes.

Imagine the prison sentence if we achieved immortality.

I read that they’re already thinking about coming up with drugs that can feel like thousands of years in prison in a very short amount of time!!!

No, I’d rather die eventually and go to heaven where I can live forever without sz
