Well, if we do go to war, there will be opportunities at home. More opportunities for people who can’t go to war, so schizophrenics might actually be valuable assets at that point. Who knows

We’ve been moving towards WWIII since I was five. Now I’m fifty-five. It seems to be a long time coming, so you can relax.

Yea… I think we are a long way off from something that dramatic… maybe in the future when we have to decide on things like staying human(the power to create modified humans)or if we ever crack general AI … or like bill gates is always talking about pandemics… climate chang… unforseen cataclysm…honestly nobody knows what the future will be so it makes sense to me to keep striving for a better world…

I’m very fearful that ww3 may happen in the next 10-20 years. It scares me greatly cos I have 2 sons that could be called to fight.

IDK man, when I was a kid in the sixties we had the Cold War in which the USSR and the U.S. were in an arms race and many thought war was imminent between the two biggest superpowers. I guess war has loomed for many decades and if you give up and stop trying and there’s no war then you have wasted your life. Besides even during world wars people work and study and raise families and live their lives.

I worry a lot about these things, especially because I have a kid. I don’t like my society at all. And I see the nato provoke russia and russia provoke nato. And the middle-east war. I worry they all want a war somehow. Yet, there are powerful forces that are against war. Maybe it won’t come this far. And if it does, we’ll get through. There’s neighbours here who have quotes in their window, like: “the kind people are with more”.

Don’t worry, even the fascist nations who enjoy pissing contests with the free world don’t really want to go to war. It’s all just politics. Sometimes underdeveloped countries will flex a little muscle to get resources or wealth.

War costs a ton of money and lives too.

I’m not saying there isn’t bad ■■■■ going on in the world. But that’s how it’s always been.

Just focus on your own backyard, community, and the things you do have control over.
