I found a cute little used car. I’m going to test drive it tomorrow. It’s $12,000 2 years old, 30000 miles, and I like the brand they are cheap to work on and run forever
It’s a nice car. And for a good price. Is the history of the car certified?
It has a Carfax, but I haven’t read it yet
Yeah, check it out. It’s important to know if it’s been in an accident, and how well it’s been taken care of
Ok, I will read it. What else do I do? I know I check the engine for oil leaks.
Just read the car fax. It’ll tell you what you need to know
I forgot to say never buy a car with a rebuilt title
ok, what’s that?
If you can afford it, have a mechanic look it over before buying. Yeah, you pay the mechanic if you decide not to buy, but could save yourself thousands for a untrained eye missed problem.
A rebuilt title means the car was totaled and they fixed it anyway
Yes, good advice. Smart.
I spent little more than that on a Toyota and still got the remainder of the 5 year warranty left on it as long as I service it at a main dealer.
You can get a lot from them in my country. Worth a check.
I had a Ford van before, and nothing ever went wrong with it in 5 years I had it.
I’m still driving a 2005 Chrysler town &county van we’ve been in 4 accidents, not the prettiest thing, but works still, under 100k miles. Got it when my grandparents were alive and we moved in in 2006 in SD. Papa died shortly after we got there, Grama died in 2013 2 days after Xmas, november and December are the killer months in our family. Most are born, married, or die in those months, including 2 of my kids being born.
But she’s Lilithh, our tank. I think a total of maybe 4k in repairs on her so far, last 1k was in August when her front axle broke and all struts were replaced. She still gets about 25mpg in city, 29ish on highway but we don’t leave town cause I’m the only one who drives it. John’s car is a 2014 Ford fusion, no repairs yet, pay 334 dollars a month payment, got a good deal cause accident that made us get it totalled a brand new car. How we made it out no injuries no idea. Hit at 60mph in city thru a red light turning to take kids to Toys r us for a pokemon event in 2016 in think. The dealer cut 8k off the car for us, and we “won” a 60 inch smart tv in their drawing causebitvwad Thanksgiving. We’ll continue to use that Ford dealer. Van was paid for when we got it, Papa worked for Chrysler for 35 years so he had that employee discount still. 36k van with discount, but it helped cause he had Parkinson’s and cancer, easier for transporting him.
