ive come to release i may have some kind of neurological sort of condition causing me to have crawling skin sensations (formication/paresthesia) as ive finally been able to rule out any external problem.
my problem is now i dont know what to do, im on an antipsychotic and very stable so this is why its not making since to me, my mental symptoms felt a little worse starting last week when i started staying in a place where im not by myself and there are people talking and walking around the house all day.
i have been having formication or paresthesia tho for a while now and sometimes its not as bad but it is very uncomfortable and i would like to get rid of it
I do not like bugs and whenever I encounter one it triggers a crawling sensation that may last 15 minutes or 2 weeks. I know of no med to help it but Ativan - but there’s so many drawbacks to a benzo. I don’t know what else to tell you except ride it out and hopefully it will stop soon now that you’re away from the bedbugs.
i dont think i started noticing or feeling this until i saw one of the bugs and than found out what they were, i think that triggered it because they had to have been around for a while to get to the poing they got to when u threw my bed out but i never saw them. once i saw them and understood what it was than everything changed
i read benadryl can help, i took it once but dont remember if it really helped and didnt take it again because my throat felt tight the morning after the night i took it, but that may have been from smoking
