I gotta quit weed. It puts me into psychosis and makes my anxiety and paranoia way worse when it wears off. I didnt do it today and im gonna try not to anymore.
Not many in our community can do well on it so it’s one of those things. Giving it up is sound policy and I’d suggest doing something else like some exercise or something to help you get over those sorts of things. Replace the negative with positive.
I walked 3 miles today and worried less when i was walking so thats a start
It’s really good for you so keep it regular. Chemicals are hard to give away for sure but important you do for your mental health. One step at a time and as I say look to improve your life with things that do good for you. Exercise you can do on the cheap and it’s so good for your mental health as well.
BTW. With drugs and alcohol it’s recovery context only.
Does that mean like talking about quiting?
Within reason. It’s triggering for many in our community so keep that in mind but recovery is important too. You weren’t promoting weed and it’s about giving up too so it’s acceptable.
You can do it! I believe in you.
It did the same to me in the end. For some reason (I don’t know why) after I took a load of Acid my body and mind could no longer tolerate weed. Maybe it was just due to psychosis, but the timings are suspicious
Last time I smoked a joint I had horrible heart palpitations and thought that was it
Such a shame, as I used to really like it
But as many people argue. It was true for me that it was a gateway drug
Proceed with caution - especially if you have psychosis!
Thats exactly what happened to me too
This is great news. Really proud of you for putting in the effort.
Weed had the same effect on me. I smoked it long after I knew it was bad for me, I always thought the next time would be better but it never was and plus all my friends were smoking. Don’t expect quitting to be easy especially if you’re hanging out with other people who smoke or or you are going places where people are smoking it. But you can quit. I got clean from all drugs in 1990 and part of the reason I am successful at staying clean and sober is because I stopped hanging around people who do drugs and I stopped going to places where drugs were being used. Those two things are a large part of why I am clean and sober.
Luckily i know no one else in real life who smokes and i only hang out with myself so i wont have outside pressure. Good job quitting!
It has the same effect on me plus it triggers bad asthma. I can do a tiny bit of edibles from the dispensary that my doctor wanted me to try for sleep, but it didn’t help so why bother. It’s expensive and I can’t take enough for a sleep aid without causing mental issues.
When i quit weed abruptly,
I had vomits and insomnia.
It’s really bad for us.
Quit it
I smoked weed for a while, quite heavily. Think we all know if you got psychosis you shouldn’t be doing it.
Walking is a fantastic substitute for substances
I quit weed long ago on my 20th birthday. Once I was off it a while (like a few months) I no longer felt the need to turn to it. You can do this. Try to find things you can do that you think you will like that you can do every single time you want to use. It really helps
I’m a heavy user and have been since I was twelve.
And I’ve noticed quitting is not difficult.
I go a month every year without weed or nicotine and have absolutely no problem.
Maybe some nicotine cravings.
Weed is not addictive and quitting is as easy as not buying more.
Good luck and continue walking.
It’s so good for you.
Not sure how my post crosses the line? I think its reasonable to assume that someone could be flagging my posts to upset me and abuse the system in place. All types of things abuses can happen on public forums and i have ways to avoid trouble, but i feel like people might be turning the screws.
