Ideas of how to entertain myself in a ward

Im in a ward and it takes them ages to release me. All the official procedures take loads of time. Im not court ordered, but want to cooperate.

Any ideas on how to entertain myself here?

Im listening to music endlessly, ordered new dresses for summer, installed candy crush, i have done some paint by sticker but it isnt for me. Im walking outdoors every day. I chat and call. But im just extremely bored and lethargic. It isnt necessary to stay here, im getting depressed from staying here.

Any interesting websites or whatever helps? Something fun or educative?

Yes maybe i should chat with them more. Im finding it hard to relate to them though, they are as withdrawn as i am. I will try!

I’ve never been allowed to have a phone while in a ward. While there, I’d ask family to bring me books to read, I’d do puzzles, play cards with others there, and sudoku and word search puzzles

I also did puzzles when I was bored. The whole ward pretty much helped me finish it.

It was a communal puzzle

Me and some other people on the ward started a kind of book club where we discussed books. I had to stop though as I started to think they were going to kill me though.

Yes im grateful to have my phone at least.

Thanks for all the advice! I might order a puzzle, book or a deck of cards online. They havent got a tv or puzzles or interesting books here. Id like to play boardgames too.

Do you like to read? Can you download the Netflix app for your phone? lol that’s what I’d do, unless you can talk to the other patients

I didnt know there was a Netflix app…I normally dont use internet or apps like that. Good idea.

I’d actually find people to talk to for the time being, it helps calm you down, you know? Good way to pass time until you can be released.
