If I did 40hours a week, I might get stressed out and tired too.
I saw a job as a healthcare assistant and the wages were £13ph or about £2k a month. But factor in my rent, and bills, and I’m probably worse off than being on disability.
Skill wise I never got my bsc in biology, but I am proficient in music production, mixing and mastering. I wish i could get a job as a sound engineer.
I want more money. Money=comfortable life.
Also what woman would want a bum for partner? Women expect men to provide.
I agree. I saw a job paying around 22k but I only wanted part time, so they had around 15 hours available. I’d still get benefits but will have to get a cut on those. So say if I get 800 a month of universal credit and I earn £400 a month. Then id only get £400 universal credit cos they check my salary . But because I live with my family I don’t mind so much and won’t be worse off.
I have two jobs in disability support or peer work, and they have no shifts for me. I want to work as I’ve read online peer support work is rewarding and have met a few people online who do it with a sz diagnosis. I want a shift, and have the drive for it, but things aren’t so positive now, but doesn’t mean it will be the same for you, just give it a go!
Sounds strange if you don’t earn more working than on disability. In Norway you always earn more working, not a lot more if you earn minumum wage, but still enough to make a economical difference.
But I also find working is healthy both physical and mentally, and social.
They won’t unless you win the lottery. Changing circumstances such as ours requires a profound commitment and a sustained, ongoing effort. There are also days and weeks where this will make you miserable and it helps to be prepared for it ahead.
