He couldn’t love women. It was what it was. If he’d been born in this time, I’m sure he would have been gay. I don’t hold it against him, knowing what I do know about him. It’s just the way the tide tumbled. May he rest in peace.

I think it’s a beautiful and important thing to forgive ones parents for being human. Not to forgive abuse, but shortcomings…
I feel bad for your dad. He must’ve really suffered. You’re a good daughter, @PinCushion. Even after their gone, I think we honor our parents by realizing who they were and accepting them.
