It’s now 2 am and I woke up again. I don’t know why I can’t just sleep through the night like a normal person. It really irritates me. Anyway who’s up? Whatcha doing? Anybody there? How are you? Is everything ok? Have you been to sleep? What time is it where you are?

after my bad LSD trip in January of 2010,every single night for like 3 months I woke up from a nightmare that I was tripping in the dream
I remember one particulary getting arrested on LSD and I woke up heart pounding like an hour after I went to sleep
couldn’t get back to bed…

Well luckily I’m not suffering the ill effects of a bad lsd trip. And I’ve been in this pattern longer than my bad trip that they put me on in the emergency room when they gave me ketamine experimentally so I can’t blame that. But who knows maybe it’s flashbacks from my glory days…
well ptsd could be anything…I think it was ptsd causing the nightmares more than anything
I used to get nightmares waking me up all the time, I would be so emotionally upset I couldn’t go back to sleep but now I take prazosin for that and I don’t get woken up from dreams anymore. But it doesn’t stop me from just waking up flat out just not tired anymore. I did have a tiny nap yesterday and that probably is the culprit.

It’s going on 2:30 am here. There are a lot of things on my mind that have been stopping me from sleeping lately.

I’ve been to sleep but woke up. My situation gets to me, mainly. I’m waiting around for a decision from social security while at the same time i feel like i’m lousing touch with my music again.
Lately these days i’ve been sitting around and pretty much doing nothing. Yeaterday i sat in my room starting at the walls and living in my imagination. Feels like i’m stuck.

I’m sorry. I know the feeling of being stuck. I feel that same thing too. Do you write you own music? Do you sing and play an instrument?
I believe it is a matter of perception. Stuck would mean time stands still…for me, though I sleep little, time passes by so quickly that I blink and it’s gone.

I do write my own music and i play guitar but lately i haven’t been motivated to work my latest project.

Music is a great outlet. I hope you find your muse. Unfortunately for some the meds hinder it, but if you find that to be the case, don’t give up,there are meds that will allow you to keep your callouses.

When I was young I played guitar and wrote my own songs. I can’t read music so if I wanted to play I had to make up my own songs. I was actually confident enough to teach my friends and family my songs and we would play and sing together. A couple times I went to open mics and played on stage for other people too, that was scary. But it meant the world to me. Now I can barely remember the old songs. You should pick up the guitar today and show it some love for sure. I just bought new strings for mine but haven’t gotten around to putting them on, maybe I’ll do that today and see about playing a little. I don’t have calluses so I can’t play long or else my fingers hurt, gotta build those back up after all this time lol. That’s another reason why you should play today. I wrote folk music. What’s your style?

Well…everything i play takes root in the blues. I play my guitar a lot but haven’t written any new music lately. My main influence for my sound is Jimi Hendrix. Not just with guitar playing but with songwriting as well.
Idk what i would do if i lost motivation to play guitar.

I’m up around 4:45 am. I woke up at 12:30 am earlier but went back to sleep. I’ve learned not to fear lack of sleep and appreciate when I get any because it’s better than none. And the meds I take help too.
