I will try to participate in a clinical trial

Do you drink tea coffee etc though?

Yes and very frequently. But it’s not enough for me.

What is your self care routine?

I mean do you have connection with anyone? Are you able to socialise and join clubs?

If you don’t then that is where you have to begin.

Like addiction, mostly the answer is connection.

Join a yoga club, gardening club, hiking/walking club, community centre, photography club, volunteer etc.

Get some connection, that is your answer.

It takes away over self runination of thought. Keeps you occupied,

It may be difficul to do, but you’d be surprised how much it will take away from just being a ‘you’ you don’t like to be.

I also took sertraline and it did squot. It wasn’t until my sister suggested citalipram that I tried it and found a difference.

Yes I had thought about doing yoga a few days ago. Although I also have some social phobia and that is why I often avoid socializing. Another thing I have is that the feeling of loneliness is so strong that even when I am accompanied by a friend I still have it.

Trust me lowering caffeine will raise serotonin levels in your brain. Too much caffeine will exhaust you and that makes serotonin drop

Push yourself and break that barrier.

You will thank yourself for doing it.

Do the cbt to get over and challenge social phobia. Even do a course in it in a group will do wonders for you.

You need to get out of ‘yourself’.

It is an effective way to beat it.

I’m being honest. I would rather be given something new and not take these medications. I reject Iclepertin when it began its phase 3. They had offered it to me. Now I will see if there are still any studies of iclepertin. On the internet I saw that yes, they are recruiting.

Citalipram is the newer than sertraline. Sertraline came out in 1991, and citalipram came out in 1998.

It will help you sleep unlike all the other antidepressants I’ve been on.

But up to you

I’ve been like this for 12 years now. I was never able to stay on an antipsychotic for more than 4 months and it has been 12 years since the first psychotic outbreak. I think it is the antagonism of the dopamine receptors that leaves me like this. KarXT does not have that within its mechanism of action.
Maybe I’ll try to do yoga but I can’t even take public transportation to go somewhere. I’m too incapacitated. And the funny thing is that it’s the medication itself that leaves me like this.

One more thing. I was scared to go on an antidepressant, I thought they were all the same as well, but my sister takes citalipram and she recommended it, so glad she did now

When i was in the psych ward the doc told me that it takes 6 months to adjust to it at least.

Perhaps, you haven’t become accustomed to feeling ‘bad’ in 4 months.

I’ll ask my doctor about the antidepressant you mention. I honestly didn’t know it. Thank you.

Best of luck. It’ll chill you out and give your mind a rest.

Don’t know. I could never get used to it. And not even with 7.5 mg of abilify, which doctors say is the “mildest” antipsychotic.

I won’t give up, not exactly now that KarXT is about to hit the market lol. Thank you for your answers. I send you a hug. I trust that I will soon get out of this.
