Had I not had the option to live with my mum , I’d probably be in a group home like you described. I’m 37. Count your lucky stars you still have some independence. I really wish I had your options.
@Crystal-Cotton did your friend who lives alone have to spend time in a group home first so they could assess her function and stability? This could be a stage of making you more independent.
no. She lived in the same foster home as I did and moved away the day she turned 18
