I’ve always thought too that women turn to university more cause they don’t usually go for the heavy lifting manual labor or trades. There aren’t really a lot of options out there if you don’t want to do something more physical and make good money.

Sorry I haven’t noticed the hate so much maybe so. I was thinking more the misogyny male female views. It could be culture. There is the whole trad wife movement thing in America that’s pretty crazy.
It is also tough being a guy.
Where I live, you got to provide for your family. If you cannot, then people kind of look down on you. Which is kind of okay, I can understand it, but the pressure of consistent income is too much. You got to produce the bills every month, and if you are ill, what do you do?
I trade stocks, and I can make a killing in periods, but most months I am not profitable because of constraints. So, what do I do, the idea of being consistent every month in producing income when I am married kind of scares me.
My friends mate has a wife she’s 47 just gave birth.

No, it is not a cultural thing. My quarrel with @Charles_Foster has been going on for a long time now. Not everyone on this forum get along. Just a piece of advice.
I agree with Zoe that @yinyang comments were a bit too restrictive. You speak of norms as if they are absolutes.
