Im only on 2.5mg but it gives me side effects.
Im not a fan of medication unless its really needed.
This cud go downhill i know but they just suk.

Sometimes i do get schz n feel good off the antipsychotic it gives me a boost
However usually it goes scary.
Maybe not this time.

How many people have you seen on here who tried to come off their medication and how many were successful? Dozens and none.

well my diagnosis is not schizophrenia it is psycosis nos. not entirely the same thing.
if i get crap ■■■■ experience, i will go back on meds the day after if the crap ■■■■ is still there

I didn’t know you weren’t schizophrenic. I don’t what the chances of relapse are for if you go off your meds. I know for schizophrenics the chance of relapse is very high.

Every single time I’ve come off mine I’ve been reminded how bad this disease can get.
My only success was lowering the dose but it seems like you’ve done that.

me too, tbh, and so sorry to hear that. but i feel more mature then those times so i think there might b a chance i can deal wid that. i think being in a better mind state helps in my case, tho im not sure

Maybe ask the doctor about it and get their opinion. Side effects suck. That’s why people want off. But the problem very often is that psychosis comes so gradually that you don’t notice it, and then a new psychosis can happen while you are unaware almost. At this point it can be hard to go back on meds on your own.
I don’t know your history, maybe it could work, but be careful.

Every time I try to stop taking my Olanzapine, it never works out the way I want it to. Ive pretty much accepted that I’ll be on it for life. Good luck @Zoe

2.5mg of Abilify is a non existent dose.
It certainly isn’t for psychosis.
You might be able to live without. It if you taper down extremely slowly.
But please consult with your doctor first.

I would wonder how effective 2.5mg of abilify is. It’s definitely not a huge dose. Make sure you have a plan b if you need to restart them again….
