If your game is on discount - and not too pricey, and your gonna get enjoyment out of it - why not treat yourself?

I look on them as investments when im bored. Thats what my overdraft is for.

I want to buy some new Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards. But I have to wait cause I need the money I have at the moment for food. Bills. And driving lessons.

You keep saying ā€œI want to buy this and thatā€, it’s not healthy to let yourself respond to every whim like that.
You’ll drive yourself to bankrupcy, and it seems like you don’t enjoy things for long before you move onto something new and shiny.
Try and learn to enjoy the things you do have. Push through even if you feel a bit bored, really work to find something interesting in them.

ok i will find thanks @Pikasaur

As someone with a shopping addiction, I have to agree (hypocritically) with @Pikasaur. Try to be happy with the things that you already have. It’s okay to get a new thing every now and then, but try to keep it reasonable. Maybe limit yourself to ā€œxā€ amount of dollars you save each month so that you can get something special. In my experience, anticipating what’s coming is fun. Maybe that’s just me. I like to reward myself. If I clean my room and shower, I’ll allow myself , say, $20 for the month to go towards something I want. If I want something big, I have to be good for several months to get enough money. It helps me to appreciate it more because I worked for it.

Same problem with me. It was embarrassing to realize how many things I impulsively bought and then got rid of when we moved because we were downsizing, and the items were unused. I’m now policing myself much, much harder with purchases. I’m also making sure that I go through the remaining unused items and finding a way to use them or resell for as much as I can.

Mine is beauty products. I have over 60 lip glosses and lip sticks at this point. About 30 blushes, 4 foundations, etc. I decided to switch to a subscription beauty box, and anticipating it makes it so much fun. Not only do I get makeup and other beauty products (even hair care), but I have the fun of watching the internet for spoilers, then going nuts when I get that email saying that my package has shipped. By golly, when will it arrive?! I do also save a little bit in case there is something extra I want. Right now, it’s a particular eyeshadow palette, and it costs $49, so that’s about 3 months worth of savings. But it makes me feel nice to earn it. This month, I’m not sure if I’ll allow myself the $20. I haven’t been cleaning my room. Maybe next month?
