If you do it professionally, you need good and expensive tools. If it’s just a hobby, you should look for something cheaper.

iPad Pro is a powerful tool. You can buy apps that will mirror your computer onto the screen. I’ve heard many people say they find the Apple Pencil better than the Wacom stylus. I have an old Intuos which isn’t amazing by any means but still good for photo editing. The iPad Pro is great for portability and more apps are being developed specifically for it. I heard rumors that photoshop would be released as an iPad app eventually. Like the full version.

i like wacom pencil more its lighter apple pencil is heavy… and it feels much better and realistic to draw on a wacom tablet…and ipad is small

the apps are not so good on ipad pro… it lack power

that’s really neat

do you think they might go down in price if you wait?

if I want something bad enough I put it on a credit card.
terrible habit.

Which apps have you tried? Also which pro do you have? I have a 12.9” 256gb and no issues running things. I did have trouble with the pencil being too slim but I bought a pencil skin for under $10 and it makes a world of difference. It adds grip and bulk to the slim little pencil. There are tons of them out there.

I have tried affinity designer which is a new one and was pretty impressed. Procreate is not bad either. Astropad will mirror a monitor. You can draw directly on the screen or you can just look down and watch on the monitor. I do find the cintiq impressive but I don’t know if I would want something so limited. Apps that are built specifically for the iPad are the only ones I would trust. The ones Adobe has out I almost never use but I hope they expand their mobile suite.

I currently run a business on a MacBook Pro and I have a 27” external monitor that I don’t use as much as I initially expected.

I have pro create and clip studio paint

Astro pad requires MacBook
