Last night one of my old drinking buddies came over and was offering to get me drunk, but I turned him down. Turning down free alcohol is a major victory for me.

Well done @crimby. I wish i had the same level of self-control. Im being a bit of a slave to the beer at the moment!
You can do it! If you want your MI to improve you shouldn’t be drinking is what my drs have always told me. Hopefully, you can fight it!

Yeah i know - Believe me the doctors have tried with me. Ive been drinking since 14 and now 43 - so i find it hard. Plus my only social network of mates is down the local bar - otherwise i wouldnt see anybody. I think it will take a really bad liver function test to scare me before i do.
The alcohol is a constant subject with my Psychiatrist - which often annoys me…

My mom is in jail due to alcoholism and the consequences of it. I briefly had that self-destructive phase. But now I take care of my body to where I don’t even drink cokes or coffee. Haven’t had a drink since 05.
