I think Horizon may have surpassed Joker as the worst movie I've ever seen

For years I have held the unpopular opinion that “Joker” is the worst movie I’ve ever seen.

And I’ve seen too many movies.

My father took me to see Horizon and I have to say,

Joker has been dethroned.

Though I still think it’s a terrible movie,

Horizon was offensive in so many new ways.

Joker was just awful, but at least had the decency to only be two hours long.

Horizon was THREE HOURS LONG.

At the two hour mark I had to go get some popcorn and asked the young ladies at the counter if/when the plot for Horizon would begin.

They laughed and to my horror, told me it was going to be a four part series.

It is one long advertisement for Kevin Costner saying “I totally still have it guys”.

But he doesn’t still have it.

Arguable he ever did.

(Waterworld for reference)

In the very last ten minutes of the film a lot happened.

Ends up it was just clips from part two, completely out of context and also no storyline.

This is my PSA,

The best way to combat the film Horizon is to simply pretend it does not exist.

Look away.

Thank you.

The Joker film I did not get at all

Was boring

I watch some bad films at times, but none as bad as that

I believe you @Charles_Foster
I’ve never viewed Kevin Costner to be some cinematic genius.
If anything he most likely made these movies for an ego boost.

He kind of gets under my skin for some reason

He seems to be a bit too cocky for my taste

He’s another old celebrity who still thinks he’s in his 20s

The trailer looks like a cinematography masterpiece though even if the movie is boring.

I wish I could see it on a big screen but I’ll never set foot in a cinema again.

I was straight enraged when I saw Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.

To change that narrative is disgusting.

People died.

Sharon Tate was murdered when she was eight months pregnant.

I cannot even imagine the horror and pain she must have felt.

To disregard that and rewrite history is spitting in the face of very real victims.

I wasn’t a huge Tarantino fan before that,

But what he did to that story made me lose respect for him as a human.

@everhopeful

I will say this,

You are right about the cinematography.

I would not be at all surprised if they won, would even expect them to take home that Oscar.

But it was all style, no substance.

And when I say no substance, they didn’t even have a trackable storyline.

Zero plot.

However,

It was beautifully shot.

Three hours is way to long for a movie. K remember seeing the King Kong movie with Jack Black way back in the day and it was 3 hours… An hour and a half in you just find yourself asking when the ■■■■ does this end? An hour later I just walked out lol. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Is this the one with lady Gaga?

Spice World was the best, worst movie I ever saw. Terrible acting, lame plot but plenty of eye candy and good music.

The one with Lady Gaga isn’t out yet.

The 1976 Jeff Bridges-Jessica Lange version was pretty good. 2 hr:15 minutes was kinda long but it went by fast.
