I feel really pissed being high functioning as I am, social at school, and ambitious towards academia that,
When ppl make stupid assumptions that ur life is perfect and u can’t go outside to go to school cuz ur paranoid and u constantly go back to the times u tried ur hardest to go to school and then once u get there ppl make fun of u or comment on how depressed u r. Then when u don’t go to school or opt out of things they’re like “ what’s wrong?” What’s the problem “ Firstly, look at ur damn self in the mirror and u will find the first burden of my life as of this moment. Idiots I swear to gawd

You will never make yourself happy if your worrying about keeping other people happy.
Do you. People will get onboard. With sz keep it close to your chest. You don’t need to tell everyone. Just those who are important to you socially or work related.
You will never keep everyone happy so don’t waste the energy trying!

I am reaching the point where I may need to ask to swap offices. I’m really having difficulty handling the distractions in the current space. Too much noise and visiting around me. I’m also too close to the registries part of the office. Every time a deaf senior comes in (you can identify them because they can only converse at shouting volume) he/she scrambles my ability to be productive.
Yes, other people are annoying.

I agree, to an extent. People are social animals, and you can’t completely cut yourself off from them. You have to rub elbows with other people.

If not for my need to earn income, I actually could. At least the F2F rubbish. Net interaction works just fine for me – there’s an OFF button.

I like to spend large amounts of time alone too, but some of the times when I was the worst came after a prolonged period of almost total isolation. Personally, I get eccentric after a prolonged period of near total isolation. It is a lot more comfortable for me to be alone, but being comfortable is not always best.
