Called up the movie theater asking about the job application process. They told me and I was so awkward. I should’ve said “well that’s easy enough!” But I froze and said “thanks…bye”. She was nice though. I really hope I get a job at the movie theater. Free movies? Perfect for date night lol I’m cheap don’t hate!
Will you be able to handle both school and work?
I don’t wanna be the bearer of bad news! But I’m dropping out of school. Well I’m staying in the class since I need to be taking the class to stay in the on campus apartment. But school is so boring I hate it. My parents agree it’s not for me. Then when the quarters over I’m moving into my own apartment off campus right next door to the movie theater. I’m done with school forever. Lesson learned it’s not for me. So I’m getting a job instead .
I do love it in Washington though.
What???
Jon, if anyone, me included, ever put the notion in your head that school is a waste of time,
you should dismiss that,
and begin to feel it would open doors.
But yes, as an artist, you may not need it,
though starving artist syndrome.
I think I’d be better off with disability money+ part time job. Work on my music on the side. And I’m set financially either way. Who am I fooling? I’m not set for academia. I’ve been self educated my whole life. I will read books, watch movies, write, record, work. I will be financially independent too in Olympia. Rent is 980 for a NICE NICE apartment. I can afford that. They don’t have ridiculous fees too like they do back home. Thanks for your encouragement though daze but it’s just not for me.
I support your decision. Look like you love music more.
@Daze my two most recent book buys. Ive read a lot of the war of art
Called the movie theater yesterday
Today I printed out the application
Tomorrow I will fill it out
The day after iwill bring it over
4 step processes takes me 4 days
But I’m making progress
Ehhh maybe I’ll fill it out tonight and bring it over tomorrow
It sounds like you have a plan, I like that. Good to have a plan. Yikes I couldn’t afford the +$900 rent you mentioned. You must be very well off.
Back home 980 is the ghetto. And I’m not exaggerating. We have really bad ghettos. Bridgeport Connecticut is the 3rd most dangerous city in the country but it’s 980 a month. It’s unheard of. 980 a month for anything except the projects. Don’t move to Connecticut. It’s the worst state for schizophrenics in the country. Olympia is cheap as hell compared to what I’m used to.
Connecticut has the highest rate of refugees in the country leaving the state because they just raise the minimum wage , taxes, make rent higher and higher. The worst governor in the country. Raise taxes raise taxes raise taxes. Everything is so expensive. Money is relative. In Zimbabwe I’d be a zillionaire. My disability check covers rent. Part time job covers everything else. I can’t be “well off” I’m 26. Money is relative. If I moved to Oklahoma maybe I’d be rich but in Connecticut I’m really poor and need my parents help. In Washington im middle class
