Ok I found it cryptic, but i kinda got it.
You’re not the first one to call me cryptic. I meant to explain that he did not want me to be active in any way for fear I’d get hurt but that his violence was the unavoidable danger he seemed to try to protect me from. I call it his having hostile fears.
My father was the same way. He was the biggest danger in our lives.
