I sleep 12-14 hours + 2-3 hours napping every day

I’m on clozapine and I sleep from 10pm to 7.30 am. I cannot do napping

When I was on olanzapine I slept a lot more

I have the same problem. Im on risperidone. I sleep about 11 or 12 hours at night. Then take 1 or 2, 2 hour naps during the day. Im just so tired.

When I was on Haldol for that short time I was sleepy plenty. It is a strong sedative. Dont like it though.

There was a period in my life when I was on Haldol, and I was taking forty mini-thins and drinking five cups of coffee the first thing in the morning. I would lay in bed for 20 hours and be perfectly okay with my life. I’d reached an equilibrium between the Haldol and the ephedrine and caffeine. I was content to do nothing. That was a time when I was the weakest I’ve ever been, physically. I got in a fight with this guy, and it was the most pathetic fight imaginable. We’d fight for ten seconds, and then we would stand there gasping for air for about a minute. That guy had his own diet of unhealthy substances. I have since recovered some of my strength, but I’m still nowhere near where I was before they put me on antipsychotic medication.

I remember when I was on fluanxol, it would knock the stuffing out of me. I was in bed a lot, or at least when I wasn’t trying to do other things.

I am liable to get anywhere from 0 to 10.5 hours of sleep on any given night. And it’s always completely random and totally unpredictable.

Most of the time, I’m in bed by 1230 to 1 am but can’t sleep. So, I stay up until 4 am when I take my morning meds, which includes the sleeper, Geodon. At which point I’m out by 430 am and I sleep until 1130 am. So, lately, in the last week or so, I’ve only been getting 7 hours of sleep a night. And I almost never take naps.

I take clozapine at night, luckily. Makes me sleep for 10 hours per night.

I slept as much as you when I was on a normal dose of clozapine. I’m way happier now with a lower dose + Invega.

Me too. At least 12 hours at night,
and 1 or 2 hours nap at noon
