I ordered a book on grief recovery

I think the title of it is “The Grief Recovery Handbook.” I got it from the library a long time ago, but I didn’t read it all.

I’m dealing with some grief, and also some complicated grief over a former stepfather I had who died. My stepfather was very mean and abusive to me. But he had moments where he could be sweet.

So I’m sort of confused about how to feel about his death.

Anyways, that’s what’s new with me!

I hope the book helps and you’re able to find some peace with this.

Thank you! @GoldenRex and @John_Raven

I also made an appointment to talk to a therapist about my grief and some other issues, like my struggle with my sexuality and stuff like that.

I’m happy you made an appointment with your therapist,

I’m sure they’ll be able to help you navigate this grief process, among other things.

Didn’t you receive some guidance from your Chaplin at the VA about grief?

He may be worth reaching out to again, too.

Yeah, I did speak to a Chaplain, that’s a good idea though. I might reach out to her again.

But she basically told me to do find some peace anyway I can that’s healthy for me.

The therapist is also at the VA. And it’s only short term individual therapy, but that’s better than nothing.
