If I don’t get any better. I don’t want to but I do for sanity. Its just getting out of hand. Idk,
I feel like you would really benefit from living in a group home, roxanna.
It might be something that really helps you and keeps you safe.
I don’t want to be in one for years and years, can group home stays be like at the most five years?
It may not be that long,
They work on progress of the individual,
Not minimum amount of years.
It depends on you.
Try it out for a while. It might really help you. It worth a try, right? You don’t have to stay forever. You’ve been struggling so much maybe it would be good for you.
Depends on you living situation. Group home sounds like a good idea but maybe you’d be better if you stayed where you’re at if that’s easier for you till you get stabilized on meds. Try focusing on recovery and not on moving around.
@Turkey has a good point to. I guess it’s up to you to decide what would be best for you
Don’t fret Roxanna. I was in a home for 3 years with staff there 24/7 doing everything for me.
Then I moved on to supported housing. I was in a complex with my own flat inside and staff there during the day to check on me but I learned to do everything myself again.
For 18 months now I’ve been living independently.
It’s not the be all and end all. It can just be temporary. But maybe you will like the place and stay. Just be open minded and take a peek.
I didn’t want to go into supported housing but I miss it so much now. I wish I could have stayed there permanently lol.
