It’s helping my Tardive dyskinesia, yes, but at a huge cost.
I’ve developed awful bouts of diarrhea where I’m going to the bathroom up to five times a day if not more.
Also I’m constantly fatigued
My motivation is much lower than usual.
I contacted my pdoc and she suggested I stop taking it if I wish
I’m stopping it starting tomorrow
I’ll just have to live with my mild TD symptoms
Maybe now she’ll decide to lower my risperidone dose some more
Edit: Chronic diarrhea is dangerous to one’s health

I don’t think my pdoc prescribes Ingrezza
Honestly I don’t want to take more meds
I’m already on enough cardiac and psych meds
I take more than 30 pills a day as is
I also second Ingrezza. Been on it three years with no side effects
I don’t know now
I’m having second thoughts
I can’t afford to live with TD symptoms
I may continue with the Austedo but eat frequent healthier high fiber foods and consume plenty of high protein foods
I also plan on taking Imodium when needed
Ugh… I’m in such a bind!
Apparently there is a serious interaction between Austedo and Imodium
The pharmacist also warned me that Abilify and Austedo interact together in a major way.
The combination can cause QT prolongation and Cardiac Arrest!

Yes, it’s not really my doc’s fault though
Austedo is frequently prescribed to people who are on antipsychotics but there is a moderate risk.
Since I’m on two different APs my risk is higher.
Not taking that chance.
Today I stopped taking it
