I’m embarrassing my husband

I don’t want the men looking at me and I know there are cameras in my phone. So I covered them with paper and tape. But other people can clearly see I’ve done it. My husband mentioned it’s embarrassing. I feel bad but I can’t bring myself to uncover each side of my phone.

your husband isn’t being very understanding…you sound unstable…please tell your pdoc about what you believe…there is help there…hang on kitty.

@Mountainman that’s a great idea!

I don’t want to make you more paranoid but there are people that sometimes hack into phone and computer cameras.
It’s a real concern!

I taped up my iPad camera because I thought someone hacked into my camera.

But I don’t want you to think that it’s a common occurrence because it’s not, it’s pretty rare.

@jukebox. I’ve been telling my pdoc for years. The men started following me in 2008. The last 4 years I’ve been with the same psychiatrist. We’ve been trying all the different APs. It doesn’t go away because it’s real. That’s what I’ve decided. I can’t try clozapine because I have autoimmune disease and when I get sick, I get really sick, like in the hospital sick. I can’t take the risk of a low white blood cell count.

You’re right @Wave. It does happen.

Yes but I don’t think men are following you.
This is delusional thinking.

i agree with Wave…you are unstable…that is unstable thinking…no one is watching you or after you. I know you won’t believe me…that’s because you are delusional.

This sounds so hard for you and your husband. I do think there are cute, creative ways to cover the camera. Hoping the best for you!

I covered the cameras on my tablet with tape an I know that no one is watching or wanting to watch me. They can and do get hacked. The thinking men are following you sounds delusional but covering your camera isn’t, necessarily.

Got any suggestions @FlyingPurplePeopleMeeter???

Do you have a case on your phone? You could easily put a dollar or something over the camera in the back and people would just assume that’s where you carry a bit of cash.

Have you’ve tried sticky glitter. It’s small but big enough to blur the view of a camera.

Or little glitters star, anything that’s little glitter.

Doesn’t look bad and gets the job done

My partner who is a tehno geek also covers the camera on his computer and iPad. At first I thought it was weird but even Facebook owner did it.

The least obvious way to cover it would be to put something over the camera and put a case on over that. The case wouldn’t cover it completely, but it would hide it enough that no one would see it.

*to put on over the camera under the case

  1. Tape
  2. Stickers
  3. Nailpolish (if you don’t plan to trade it in)
