At the height of their fame, the Beatles were constantly touring the world and giving concerts. They were the first rock band to play in a major sports stadium, Shea Stadium, 1965.
But did you know that a typical Beatles concert only lasted 20-30 minutes?
No Googling answer: What number did Stairway To Heaven, hit on the North American Billboard Charts and for how long?
Number 1 for 10 weeks. See how weak we are without Google.
HAHA is a easy answer
Stairway to Heaven never hit the North American charts because it was a LP and they only rated 45’s back then
The point is moot because Led Zeppelin plagiarized the song anyway. In fact they had a reputation for stealing bits of lyrics and riffs and from other artists songs and incorporating them into their own songs.
Useless trivia on the Beatles. Australia was there first real international tour as hand been booked to play for some millionaires Daughter 21st birthday before they became famous. Just so happened they reached there fame at the time they where due to come down under.
Who was the “quiet” Beatle? (Also my favorite Beatle)
Which song if played backwards reportedly said “Paul is Dead?” And how did people think Paul died?
My Mom was born in 1950 so i love the Beatles too. I didn’t know shows only lasted 30 min. Thats super short. Especially now since Paul apparently plays for hours at shows
Too easy. George Harrison of course.
To the best of my knowledge, no song said, “Paul is dead” .
Revolution # 9 on the White Album repeatedly said “Number 9”, Number 9, Number 9, etc.
If you play it backwards, “Number # 9” suspiciously sounds like it is saying “Turn me on dead man”.
At the end of Strawberry Fields as it fades in and out, you can hear a voice say, " I buried Paul".
The Beatles claimed it was Ringo’s voice and that he meant he had played his drums to loudly and thus he drowned out ( buried) Paul’s vocals.
On Sgt. Pepper, the song, “Good Morning, Good Morning”, starts off with someone counting from one to four. If you listen carefully, after the “two”, you can distinctly hear someone say “Dying”.
Paul supposedly died in a car crash, as supposedly immortalized in the song, “A Day in the Life”, also on Sgt. Pepper.
A Day In The Life
The Beatles
I read the news today oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph.
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn’t notice that the lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They’d seen his face before
Nobody was really sure
If he was from the House of Lords.
Paul was supposedly replaced in the band by the winner of a Paul McCartney look-a-like contest held earlier. The contest had been held shortly before the rumors started. Also right after Paul allegedly died the winner of the contest had disappeared.
Please don’t get me started on the rumors that in 2005 the entire Rolling Stones band supposedly died while ice skating and were replaced by 5 ugly, old, wizened, lizard-men without the public’s knowledge.
According to my mother. They all thought if u played revolution backwards it sayed Paul is dead. And they thought he died in a car crash. But that probably wasn’t true for everyone im just quoting my parent’s experience
who was the walrus? no, seriously, who was the walrus?
“Well, here’s another clue for you all,
The walrus was Paul”
“Glass Onion” off of the White Album.
The Beatles.
