My neighbor called me on the phone to ask me a favor. He wanted me to take him to the Hardware Store tomorrow so he can get parts for a job he is doing.

I don’t want to do it. I know he has no drivers license. I know I’ve done a lot of similar favors for him in the part. Also, I believe that he who gives quickly gives twice.

You would think that someone who you do a favor for would try to make you feel happy about doing the favor. But in the past I felt unhappy about doing favors for him. That is, in the past, he didn’t pay me back as he offered to do.

He called at 5 PM. I told him to call back after 7:30 PM. That is temporizing. It is now almost 8:20 PM, and he hasn’t called.

I hope he won’t call.

i like helping people too

i also fall into the do it once do it twice three time and on and on

i have gotten to the point i never expect anything in return that just makes me mad so i try to keep a good side of it

Me and the neighbor lady used to hate each other. We worked out our differences a couple years ago. On Friday I gave her a ride to 7-11. She was going to give me ten bucks but I did it for free and I felt good about it.

I hope for your sake, that guy doesn’t call at all @Jayster. Maybe he gets the idea that you don’t want to help him because he’s so ungrateful.
